Year 6

Hello from 6V

The last few weeks in 6V have been musical, musical, musical!

Throughout the Term, we have been very busy designing and learning choreography for our class songs in our Year 6 and Prep musical, ‘The King’s Quest’, as well as planning and organising our matching costumes.

The musical follows a king, the King of Langwarrin, who must embark upon a quest to rediscover the true meaning of being a ruler. His adventures take him to many different settings around Langwarrin, including our very own primary school, where he encounters students who are sitting around bored during playtime. The students then join the Play Leaders in a game with the parachute.

Our first dance was with a parachute, and it was a really fun (and nostalgia-inducing) experience trying to choreograph and step out a set of dance moves, including adding in different skills and tricks with the parachute.

Our second class song was in the context of enjoying the small things in life, represented by the ever-known Mel (Coffee on Q). Our costumes showcase a range of trades and jobs, and is a great visual spectacle.

It was a massive success, and it was exhilarating seeing all of our hard work pay off!
