Year 1

So far this Term, we have jumped into our new phonics program, UFLI. The students have settled into the new routine well and are working hard to grasp the two concepts for the week. 

We have been investigating minibeasts and learning about how minibeasts are important for our environment. We have read books and created information reports. Students have learnt about the parts of minibeast, where minibeasts live, what they look like and what they eat. We were lucky to have Reptile Encounters come to the school in week 8 where students were able to hold a few minibeasts and learn interesting facts. 

There have been some other fun events this Term. We have enjoyed Grandparents Day, Book Parade and Pyjama Day.
