Principal's Report
Well, it’s almost a wrap for another successful and enjoyable Term at LPS.
Thank You Ms Soutar
Ms Soutar has been a wonderful acting Assistant Principal for Term 3. I want to publicly acknowledge her commitment to our school operations each morning. This can be an incredibly complex job and has become more complex in recent years with mass staff shortages across the state. Ms Soutar has worked diligently to ensure we can cover as many classes as possible when teachers are off sick and ensure our timetables are updated each morning to ensure a smooth running of the school.
Mrs Pepper will return at the beginning of Term 4 and considering she facetimed the entire musical performance on Monday night, I think she has been missing us!

Prep and Year 6 Musical
This is by far one of our main highlights of the year.
I want to acknowledge the efforts of all students in prep and Year 6 for working so well together to provide such a spectacular show!
Thank you also goes to:
Jay Brouwer and Richard Cooling (Volunteer) for the amazing props that they custom make for us each year and then attend each show as stagehands moving all props on and off the stage.
Mrs Payne, Miss Coombes, Mrs Savory, Mrs Vancea, Mrs Hansted, Mrs Williams, Ms Vrionis, Mrs Brown, Mr Flynn and Mrs Pepper – for the amazing work in writing the script, organising the music, choreographing dances, working the lighting and sound box, running the timings of the show, hours and hours of rehearsals, making the programme and ensuring each show ran smoothly.
They should be incredibly proud of the show that they created and the experience they provided our students.
What a wonderful event to help finish Term 3.
Footy Parade
The annual footy parade is on tomorrow. Looking forward to seeing lots of footy (or NRL, soccer, basketball) attire tomorrow. Our parade will kick off just after 9am in the stadium. Parents are welcome to come along and join in the fun.
Don’t Forget
Early dismissal - Friday 20th September at 2.30pm.
Have a wonderful break,
Mark Moorhouse
