Cafe Live Gigs
On Wednesday August 28, the Café Gig performance took place. This was an excellent example of the diversity of musicianship at Homestead. A big thank you to all of our fantastic performers.
The gig had something for everyone, classics like Vicko’s bass performance of Knockin’ on heaven’s door (featuring music teacher’s Michel and Pat on vox and guitar) and modern tunes like Aarzu’s interpretation of Sabrina Carpenter’s ‘Good luck babe’. Ned was spotted shredding some improvised rock inspired licks. Miles performed a finger-twisting piano rendition of Queen's 'Melancholy blues'.The 12 performers had a roaring crowd as well, packing the café out and enhancing the vibrancy and energy in the room. The audience was engaged and supportive with smiles dotted across the group, coffee's and hot chocolates in hand.
We would love for the café gig to become a homestead staple. To do that, we need performers! Please talk to Pat O’Brien if you’d like to get up and perform OR begin lessons on an instrument.
