Deputy Principal

Mrs Robyn Buchanan-Hodgson - Deputy Principal Year 9

As we wrap up this term, I encourage all students and staff to enjoy the well-deserved break. Use this time to rest, recover, and recharge. It's important to return to Term 4 feeling refreshed and ready for the challenges and opportunities ahead.

Year 12 Final Stretch

To our Year 12 students: you're entering a crucial period with the end of classes and external exams on the horizon. We understand the pressure you're under and want to emphasise the importance of balancing your studies with your wellbeing:

  1. Be planned and prepared: Create a study schedule and stick to it.
  2. Take care of yourself: Ensure you're getting enough sleep, eating well, and taking breaks.
  3. Support each other: Look out for your classmates and don't hesitate to seek help if needed.
  4. Be kind: To yourself and others. Remember, you're all in this together.

Our staff are here to support you through this final stretch. Don't hesitate to reach out if you need assistance or guidance.

Year 10 Camp

Week 1, Term 4

We're excited about the upcoming Year 10 camp at Emu Gully in the first week of Term 4. This camp presents a fantastic opportunity for our students to develop their leadership skills and foster mateship. With its Anzac theme, the camp will also provide valuable historical context and character-building experiences. We're looking forward to seeing our Year 10s grow through this unique adventure.

Wishing everyone a safe and restful break. We look forward to a strong start to Term 4.

Sun Safety

Hats at school

As a school community, we try to uphold safe working practices both in and out of the classroom. Our students are playing outside more than ever before and while this is great, we need to really promote the importance of wearing hats during the school day.

Please check that your young people own a school hat, preferably one with a brim, and have it in their bag each day. During HPE and APP classes we require hats. Loan hats are limited, and while we have willingly provided loans to students, the numbers have dwindled significantly and it would be a simple matter of making sure each student comes prepared for class.

During lunch breaks and recreational activities, hats are also part of the sun safe requirements. Teachers on playground duty are within their rights to expect students to wear a hat, or come off the playing field if directed to do so. There is no argument about it.

We would like your support to encourage hat wearing during the school day.
