Deputy Principal Staff and Students Report
Term 4 2024
It is hard to believe we are in Term 4. The year seems to have flown so quickly. The return of the students was positive and it was great to see the smiling faces. With Showcase, a number of excursions, Scholarship Student Interviews, Year 12 Practice Exams, Student Photos, Year 10 Reflection Day, Year 7 2026 Family Meetings and speeches for 2025 School Captains all in the first week of Term 4, we well and truly feel we are back. It is good to reflect that, as busy as this week was, school life is busy each week with so many different opportunities and experiences to learn and grow offered in so many different areas.
Seeing the students and staff return and the smiles, the warmth in the community and the positive relationships was a joy. Added to this the reflection on the great opportunities and great people here at Nazareth and I am left grateful: what a blessing it is to be a part of this community. As we continue into Term 4, I offer prayers that this term is a blessed one for all and that we all grow in Faith, Wisdom and Knowledge.
Looking Ahead
On Friday 18 October 2024, the Year 12 students have their Celebration Dress up Day and Breakfast from 8.40 am-10.45 am. The celebrations continue with the Year 12 Mass and Graduation Dinner starting at 5.30pm on Friday 18 October 2024. Year 12 Parents/Guardians/Carers have been sent the details for these events in a letter last week. We wish all of the Year 12 students all the very best and pray for God’s abundant blessings on them at this time as they move towards exams and career choices.
Communication
It can be a difficult time for some students as we move towards the end of the year with exams, assessments, tests etc. We encourage all Parents/Guardians/Carers to please contact your child’s Pastoral Teachers should there be any issues or concerns of any nature. We want to support and work in partnership with you and are very happy to meet or talk on the phone where this will assist your child.
End of Year
Typically, this term goes very quickly. We encourage all students to work consistently at their study and revision and to make sure they have started the term well and keep up the momentum. It can be difficult if students start slow or fall behind, as playing catch up is always a challenge. We invite you to work with us as we encourage all students to embrace the opportunities to grow offered in Term 4 at Nazareth.
Prayers for God’s abundant blessing on you and your family.
God Bless
Mr Justin Duckett
