Principal's Report

Newsletter Report – term 4, week 1

Welcome Back to Term 4!

We hope everyone enjoyed a safe and relaxing break and had some special time with family and friends.

If you’ve been on site recently, you’ll have noticed lots of exciting changes around our school! Over the holidays, we’ve had extensive garden works completed to open up spaces and make supervision easier. The middle school area has had a fresh coat of paint, and preparations are underway for our 2026 middle school students to design and decorate the new murals. The new middle school toilet block is also nearing completion — it’s looking fantastic!

A Busy and Exciting Term Ahead

Term 4 is always full of energy! Behind the scenes, we are:

  • Preparing our 2026 class structures – a detailed process that takes around six weeks.
  • Finalising our 2026 workforce plan.
  • Welcoming our new Foundation students for their transition sessions.
  • Supporting our Year 6 students as they begin their secondary school transitions.
  • Teachers are gathering assessment data and preparing end-of-year reports.
  • Our student leadership and awards preparations have started.

Event Planning & Parent Payments

Our school prides itself on being well-organised and proactive when planning events and excursions. Families receive event notices and reminders via Compass, and we appreciate your help in meeting payment deadlines. These timelines allow us to finalise bookings, confirm numbers, and manage budgets effectively.

If exceptional circumstances arise and a deadline is missed, please contact the Principal directly. Thank you for supporting our systems so that every event runs smoothly for our students.

Behaviour Focus for Term 4

We are continuing to reinforce key behaviours that help create a calm, respectful learning environment:

  • Wearing the correct school uniform. (Please check our website for the uniform policy if unsure)
  • Arriving to class promptly, quietly, and ready to learn.
  • Listening respectfully – one person speaking at a time.
  • No chewing gum.
  • Leave the flowers – please don’t pick them, we want our gardens to look lovely for everyone to enjoy

Some of our senior students are receiving extra reminders about respect, resilience and citizenship, especially when a relief teacher is in class. The Principal team is supporting these classrooms, and we appreciate families reinforcing these expectations at home.

Parking Reminders

Thank you for helping to keep our school safe by following parking rules:

  • Kiss and Go Zone – please use correctly for quick drop-offs and pick-ups.
  • Wait Zone-students waiting to be collected at the end of the day need to wait INSIDE the fence.
  • Staff Car Park – for staff only.
  • Swimming Pool Spaces – reserved for families attending lessons.

Your cooperation ensures a safe and efficient flow for everyone at drop-off and pick-up times.

We look forward to having a fantastic term.

Kind regards,

Principal

We know life is busy, but there’s real power in community. We’re calling on our local legends to help with a few small projects — things we’d rather not outsource if we can keep it in the neighbourhood!

We’re currently looking for:

A licensed gas plumber for compliance checks

Carpenters for a fencing project

An air conditioning mechanic (for holiday servicing)

A landscaper for garden planning

Green thumbs for light weeding and pruning

Even an hour of your time makes a big difference. If you’re able to help or want more info, please contact the front office — Bluey, our Facilities Manager, will be in touch.

Let’s keep building a strong, connected community — together!
