Preparation Day

Over the weekend, we were delighted to open our doors to welcome the newest members of our school community – the incoming students for Year 5 next year. It was a vibrant and meaningful occasion, as we hosted our annual preparation and academic testing day, designed to ease students into the next stage of their educational journey.

From the moment the students arrived, there was an air of excitement and anticipation. Bright, eager faces filled our classrooms and outdoor spaces – a promising sign of the enthusiasm and potential that this new cohort brings. The day was built around testing across key areas to help us understand each student's learning profile and support their transition in the most effective way possible. These sessions also gave students a taste of the high standards and nurturing academic culture that define our school.

A special thank you goes to our student helpers along with Year 5 prefect Zachary Crisafulli who played an integral role throughout the day. Their leadership, warmth, and willingness to mentor helped create a welcoming and supportive atmosphere. Whether it was guiding students around the campus or helping at the barbeque lunch, their contribution was invaluable.

We extend our sincere thanks to the dedicated staff — Ms Carpenter, Mrs Saoud, Mrs Allen, Mrs Tatola, Mr Tatola, Mr Cooper, and Mrs Lopizzo — for their efforts in organising and supporting the day behind the scenes. From the academic teams overseeing testing, to the administration and the P&F, their contributions were invaluable. Special thanks also go to Mrs Nader and Mrs Shehadie for their assistance with catering, as well as the Year 11 Student Leaders and Year 10 volunteers. Thanks to each of them, every student felt recognised, supported, and excited for the year ahead.

As we reflect on the success of the day, we are filled with pride and optimism as we look forward to welcoming these bright young individuals officially next year, and excited to see all that they will achieve in their time with us.
