A Fantastic Start to Term 4!

It’s been a wonderful start to Term 4, with so many exciting events and learning opportunities already taking place!

Students in Grades 4–6 have been actively involved in our Bike Education Program, building their confidence and developing important road safety skills. Many of our senior students also proudly represented RNPS at the Division Athletics Carnival and division Hoop Time.

The much anticipated Grade 6 Camp, was a huge success despite some challenging weather! Our Grade 2 Sleepover was another highlight, thoroughly enjoyed by all; a great first step towards future overnight camp experiences.

A huge thank you to our Parents and Friends Association for organising the incredibly successful Bogan Bingo Night, and to the 120 parents and friends who came along to support the event. It was a fantastic evening enjoyed by all, and the significant amount of funds raised will go directly towards projects that enhance learning experiences and outcomes for our students.

World Teachers’ Day – Friday 31 October

On Friday, 31 October, we celebrated World Teachers’ Day in Victoria — a day to recognise the wonderful work of teachers and the difference they make every day.

At RNPS, our teachers do an incredible job providing a safe, engaging, and high-quality education for all our students. It would mean a great deal to our teachers if you were to acknowledge the day and, if your child feels comfortable, encourage them to simply say thank you to their teacher. A small gesture like this goes a long way and would mean so much to every teacher.

Capital Minor Works Project - Toilet Block Refurbishment

The school has been working closely with the Victorian School Building Authority (VSBA) to plan a complete refurbishment of the male and female student toilets near the Prep classrooms.

While the overall layout will remain largely the same, the new facilities will:

  • Create a more modern and functional space

  • Provide greater privacy for students, with cubicle doors that extend lower to the ground and higher overall

  • Improve visibility in the handwashing area to allow for better supervision

Works are scheduled to begin during the January school holidays, with site setup and temporary fencing to commence in the final weeks of December. The project is expected to take approximately 4–6 months to complete. During construction, we will ensure there are sufficient toilet facilities available for students at all times.
