KLA Feature - Year 12

This week marked the end of our Year 12 students' school journey here at Caroline Chisholm College. In January this year, I challenged Year 12 to approach their final year of schooling in the spirit of kindness and unity. To be Better Together. To, ‘Step Up, and Embrace the Sprint’ as they moved towards the end of their high school journey - they certainly rose to that challenge. Year 12 2025 led the school with integrity, resilience, and a strong sense of purpose, leaving behind a legacy of unity, compassion, and leadership that will inspire future cohorts for years to come.

Tuesday 23rd September was their last official school day that started with our annual Year 12 Breakfast where students and their teachers were able to celebrate together in the morning in a beautifully relaxed and sunny alfresco setting. This was followed shortly after as we gathered as a year group for one final Year Assembly to celebrate and share our favourite memories and reflect on their six year CCC school journey. Year 12 were then farewelled by their entire school community in a very special Farewell Assembly and Liturgy culminating in the tradition of the guard of honour, an important and symbolic moment that I’m sure will remain a treasured memory for many years to come.

Our Graduation events continued on Wednesday 24th September with the Graduation Mass. We were blessed to gather with Father Sheldon Burke at St Padre Pio Parish to celebrate Mass in Thanksgiving of God. The final Graduation event was held in the College Performance Centre, where we recognised each student’s individual achievements and honoured the recipients of special awards including the College Dux for 2025: Nishika Talusani.

Many of our students are already stepping boldly into the future - securing early offers to university, apprenticeships, employment, and other training opportunities. Their readiness for this next stage speaks volumes of their initiative, maturity, and the strong foundations and partnerships they have built here at Caroline Chisholm College.

It has been my privilege to lead and support Year 12 in their senior years, and I am proud of each and every one of them and all they have achieved. As a cohort they have led our student community with grace and integrity and I wish them all the very best for the future and anticipate many achievements to come.
