Dear Sacred Heart Community,

Prayer for World Mission Sunday

Loving God,

Thank you for the gift of community and for the love that surrounds us.

Help us to share Your love with others, near and far,

and to care for those in need with kindness and generosity.

Bless all missionaries and those who work to bring hope, faith, and compassion to communities around the world.

Guide our hearts and hands so that we may live Your mission each day.

We ask this in Jesus’ name.

Amen

World Mission Sunday Mass

This Sunday, 19th October, at 10:30 am, all families are warmly invited to join us at Sacred Heart Church for our World Mission Sunday Mass. This special day reminds us to think of others around the world and how we can share kindness, care, and support with those in need.

It’s a wonderful opportunity for our Sacred Heart community to come together in faith and reflect on how we can live these values in our everyday lives; helping, sharing, and showing compassion to others.

After Mass, please join us for coffee and tea in the school Multipurpose Room, a lovely time to connect with other families and celebrate our shared spirit of mission and community.

STEM Inquiry

As we begin our final term for 2025, our students are excited to engage in hands on learning through our STEM Inquiry Unit. This term, they are exploring the theme of innovation; using ideas, materials, and creativity to design and build things that make a difference in our world. Through this learning, students are discovering how science, technology, engineering, and mathematics help us solve real problems and care for our community and environment.

  • Foundation–Year 2: Exploring how things move and work by building simple designs and experimenting with materials.
  • Years 3–4: Investigating energy, sustainability, and how technology helps us improve everyday life.
  • Years 5–6: Using design thinking and engineering skills to create, test, and refine innovative solutions.

At Sacred Heart, we are proud to nurture learners who are curious, creative, and courageous, young people who use their gifts to make a positive difference in the world.

Parents & Friends Morning Tea Invitation

The Parents and Friends warmly invite all families to join us for morning tea in the Sacred Heart staffroom from 9:00 am to 10:00 am on Tuesday, 21st October 2025. This is a wonderful opportunity to connect and celebrate our school community.

On the day, we will also take a moment to sincerely say a big thank you to Jodie for her incredible support with Parents and Friends, and for her amazing dedication, energy, and commitment in making our school events so successful.

Her hard work is truly appreciated!

☀️ No Hat, Play in the Shade!

As the weather warms up, a reminder that in Term 4 all children are required to wear a hat while outside. If a child does not have a hat, they will be asked to stay under the shade during recess and lunch play.

Should your child need a new hat, these are available for purchase from the front office for $25 each.

Wishing everyone a wonderful week!

Warmest wishes,

Antoniette
