MARKET DAY is rapidly approaching.
Teachers will be available from 8am on Thursday 23rd October to allow students to commence setting up. Parent helpers welcome & appreciated.
LITERACY
In Reading this term, students will continue to examine texts through the different Literature Circle roles. It is important for students to build their capacity for identifying what makes a good piece of writing so they can aim to produce their own pieces with similar features.
In Writing, students will consolidate their learning by writing memoirs and autobiographical recounts for their Primary School Year Scrapbook. They have been learning how to orientate and sequence their piece. We will continue to refine our editing skills as well.
MATHS
We have been looking at Data and how questions can yield different types of data:

Additionally, following a diagnostic test on Number, a revision program has been tailored to each student to support their preparation for assessments that will commence in Week 5.
😂 There is a fine line between a numerator and a denominator.
Only a fraction of people will find this funny!
MARKET DAY
Students may wear casual clothes for a gold coin donation and bring up to $20 to spend at the market during their allocated break time.
INQUIRY
After we have evaluated our Market Day, we will move onto a legacy inquiry called Raise Your Voice. Students will campaign for a cause as part of their SEPS legacy. A vote will decide the winning campaign and a small portion of market day profit will go towards it, forming the Class of 2025 legacy. We are looking forward to what student come up with.
