Student Voice Team

Our SVT captains have been meeting fortnightly to discuss things we want to improve in the yard and in learning environments.

Our captains and vice captains have collected some amazing and informative ideas from their classes. Some of these ideas focused on sustainability and environmental protection by adding worm farms and compost bins. Playground and yard improvements included removing or replacing tanbark with rubber, adding new drink taps, adding more football nets, and adding extra bike racks and longer fences near the hill on the oval. Some rewards and fun ideas students would like to see include hot-chip lunches or ice-cream parties for positive behaviour, and teacher vs. student games during break times. 

Obviously, our canteen has been a hot topic as we are growing kids and love our SWEET TREATS! Some people want slushy machines and, of course, more cookies and sweets. 

We’ve been making progress with some of these ideas and can’t wait to share more with you all in the future.
