LEAP Writing Wrap-Up: Write a Book in a Day Success

Our LEAP Writing program concluded last Thursday with an incredible day of creativity and teamwork. Twenty talented students, working in four teams, participated in the Write a Book in a Day challenge to raise funds for The Kids’ Cancer Project.

Students received their story parameters at 8:00am and spent the day drafting, writing, editing, and illustrating their books—submitting their final masterpieces by 5:00pm. Their collaboration, perseverance, and creativity were inspiring to witness.

Together, our students raised an outstanding $2,253 to support children and families affected by cancer. This achievement reflects not only their talent as young writers but also their compassion and commitment to making a difference.

I am extremely proud of the effort and dedication each LEAP student has shown throughout the term and during this special event.
