We have been busy learning and consolidating our digital skills in ICT.

Preps have been focusing on using their trackpads to navigate the internet and increasing their digital literacy with a number of different games and activities.

In Year 1, students have been building their coding knowledge by exploring codable devices, providing simple directional instructions to virtual programs and robotic devices, and beginning to use block-based coding with our Dash robots.

Year 2 students have been focusing on exploring patterns in data and learning how to represent data as pictures, symbols and diagrams.

Year 3 students have been using digital tools to create information, collecting, accessing and presenting different types of data.

Year 4 students have used drawings, pictures and text, to create an interactive choose your own adventure story.

Year 5 students have been showcasing their skills in computer-aided design, designing boxes for 3D printing, creating many unique and functional containers.

In year six we have been exploring artificial intelligence (AI). We have explored many of the available AI programs and discussed the way AI works as well as the ethical implications to consider when creating AI.
