Learning and Teaching

LEARNING SPACE 1 JUNIORS

In Learning Space 1 the students have been exploring the concept question in Inquiry and Religious Education lessons ‘How does energy impact our lives? We began unpacking this concept through detailed images, Bible passages and hands-on experiments. The students explored how light and sound are seen/ heard and felt.

Through their investigations they described where sound and light are in their environment and how light and sound are seen or heard in different ways. Through deeper discussions and wonderings from reading stories like ‘The Pentecost Story’ the students have been making connections with light and sound to Jesus being like a guiding light to his followers then and now.

In the coming weeks the Juniors are looking forward to further exploring the key question. We will investigate the science concept of “push and pull” and students  will see it in action at the Lego excursion and through making 3D objects.

Thanks a watt!
