Mary Help of Christians :  Learning Space 2 Mass

Today, Learning Space 2 gathered to celebrate Mass led by Fr Fabian.  Mary, Help of Christians Feast Day falls today and is one of the numerous names by which Catholics have come to know and love Mary. It refers specifically to the aid that Mary gives as intercessor, meaning one who prays with and for us to God.

The Most Holy Trinity  -  Year B

Discussion Starters

  • What is the belief about God that is expressed as ‘Trinity’?
  • What confusion can be caused by the belief in the Trinity?
  • In what ways is this Sunday good ‘timing’ for a celebration of Trinity Sunday?
  • How might Christianity be changed if we did not accept the three-fold nature of God?
  • What are some images that have been used to describe the Trinity?
  • Why might non-Christians find the idea of ‘Trinity’ a difficult concept?
  • What consequences would follow if we did not believe that Jesus was ‘God from God’?
  • What image of Trinity do you find helpful?
  • How does the concept of Trinity help explain the different experiences of God throughout time?
  • Do you think that most Christian people understand the teaching on Trinity?
