From the Principal

Applications for 2025 are due now.

Please inform neighbours and friends who will have a child eligible to start school in 2025 to book a tour. We have tours nearly every morning at 9 am.

Help promote our school and share stories of the great learning and extra curricula opportunities we provide.

Word of mouth stories about our great school community is the BEST promotion.

School Advisory Council

We are delighted that we have three new parents who are interested in becoming members of our School Advisory Council in 2025. We have introduced an induction process this year and the prospective members have joined our meetings as our guests. This allows for both induction and discernment so that we can embrace the new MACS process for membership. We have the following parents who joined our School Advisory Council meeting on Tuesday 21st May.

  • Kiru Vaithilingam
  • Dwij Senaratne
  • Tristan Patton

At Tuesday's meeting the School Advisory Council (SAC) commenced the process of discerning the key priorities for 2024-2025. An area of focus was on community engagement. The School Advisory Council reflected on the various opportunities for engagement that currently exists. We are considering the opportunities that we can embrace given the wonderful new facilities that we have. It is also important that we evaluate what we do and ways we can further enhance opportunities.

We would like staff, students and parents to be involved and even take an active role in leading and contributing to a culture of welcome and hospitality. We would like to celebrate the rich diversity of our community and engage in opportunities to dialogue to enhance our partnership, build connections and positive relationships. How do we further amplify a culture of welcome and hospitality?

We are deeply grateful for our Parent and Friends Association who do a sensational job in fundraising and FUNraising!!  We understand that everyone's lives are busy but we also know being engaged within a dynamic community will help your child to flourish. We are inviting parents to consider ways we can expand opportunities.

How can we build relationships and belonging so that we for example, embrace our cultural diversity? We invite parents to consider ideas for community engagement and share these with us. What should we keep doing? What should we start to do? Please drop a note via the class baskets,  share an idea via SeeSaw, email the school or catch us before or after school for a chat. Our next Meeting is on the 18th June and we would love to hear your ideas for our consideration.

Keeping Safe and Keeping Healthy

As I am sure you are all aware there is a lot of sickness in the community, not just COVID, but also flu and other viruses. We have a number of children and staff who have been unable to attend school due to illness in the past few weeks. At the moment there is a serious shortage of replacement teachers. We have managed to cover staff absences and will do our best to continue to do so. We need your support to reduce the spread of infection and keep both staff and students at school. Please make sure you keep your child/children at home if they have any cold, flu or COVID type symptoms so we can protect our staff and children and support learning.

Have a wonderful weekend.
