Canberra Camp
I had the pleasure of attending Canberra Camp with our Year 6 students and their teachers last week and it was amazing to see how well our students represented Kingswood! We were complimented many times on their respectful behaviour and their engagement with the learning at the different venues that we attended. What a wonderful way for our students to learn about the history of our nation’s capital, our parliament and our electoral system. Well done to the team for organising such as successful camping experience.
Before and After School Yard Supervision
Just a reminder that in line with our school policy, supervision by Kingswood staff begins at 8.45am. No students should be at school without a parent supervising them prior to this time and supervision ends at 3.35pm. Students should be going to Team Kids, our out of hours care providers, if parents are unable to pick children up by this time. Thank you for your support in keeping our children safe.
Attendance
There seems to be some nasty coughs and colds that are rearing their heads already as we head towards winter. Please remember that if children are unwell, they shouldn’t be at school and to mark their attendance on Compass as medical/illness.
Expected Behaviours at Kingswood
Here at Kingswood Primary School, we have three expected behaviours for all of our students. They are: Be respectful, Be resilient and Be empathetic. We have noticed through our classroom visits and during our yard duty times that children are demonstrating these behaviours and there is a lovely tone to the environments as we move through them. Well done to all our students and teachers for working on these behaviours.
