Mia S - 1A
Mia has shown a great deal of curiosity across all learning areas but in particular as we have approached this term’s Big Question “How do we know what happened in the past?”. Mia has used her active listening skills to support her in asking inferential questions such as “How did they count the cows?” when wondering how a Drover completed their work in the past. I cannot wait to see how you demonstrate this curiosity in your writing!
Tommy C - 3/4A
Tommy has made outstanding progress this term, as a result of his curiosity. He has made a real effort to read more, expanding his knowledge and vocabulary, also supporting his writing. Tommy has experimented with different mathematical concepts and become a flexible thinker when trying to solve problems. Well done Tommy, you should be really proud of you and your efforts.
Charlie W - 4B
Charlie is always striving for personal excellence through curiosity in all areas of his learning. He is a wonderful listener, contributor and thinker, always trying to better himself through asking intelligent, well thought out questions. Well done Charlie, you should be so proud of your drive to learn, grow and succeed in all that you do.

Billy started his journey with EPS in Term 1 and has settled into his class and EPS seamlessly. He approaches all subject areas with a willingness to learn and curiosity. He participates enthusiastically in all areas of school life and shares his thoughts, opinions and connections in a clear and concise way. Well done Billy!

Term 2 has seen Bonnie explore her sense of Curiosity by being unafraid to ask questions and seek feedback. Your eagerness to explore new ideas across all learning areas shows a great love for learning. Whether it's diving deep into the Big Question, exploring new language in Writing, or figuring out tricky Math problems, your curiosity helps you discover new things every day. English
Kiara T - 1C
Kiara approaches every literacy lesson with enthusiasm and dedication. She has a clear passion for reading, where she chooses a wide range of books to include in her book box, and ensures she is working towards her reading goal. Kiara also takes on board teacher feedback that has allowed her to grow as a writer, where she is expanding on her ideas and trying to include more interesting words. Well done for all your efforts, Kiara!
Ella C - 3B
Ella has made impressive growth with her reading and writing this semester. She has continued to work hard with her reading and has made many great connections and inferences in her reading journal. Ella has written many wonderful sentences and paragraphs this term which reflect the feedback we have given her. She strives to continue to improve every day and we love reading her writing.
Hattie G - 4A
Hattie has shown she can persevere and explore new genres through her writing. This was demonstrated in an inspiring Historical Fiction piece about The Great Depression from a young girl’s perspective. We look forward to reading your future writing projects Hattie. Beau S - 5B
Beau has worked incredibly hard across all areas of English this Term. In Writing, Beau ensures his ideas are coherent and well-organised and takes his time to consider his word choice to accurately reflect his ideas, intended meaning and emotions of characters. In Reading, Beau actively contributes to class discussions and has demonstrated a sound understanding of fact and opinion to help him decide whether or not a report is balanced.
Angelica O - 5/6A
A quiet achiever, Angelica has shown great dedication to improving her writing this term. She has been carefully considering her word choice, focusing on selecting strong verbs to lift the writing component of her storyboard. Angelica also demonstrated her writing flexibility after writing a script in the first person and quickly adapting it to be written in the third person. Wonderful effort Angelica!
Mathematics
Oscar M - 1B
Oscar consistently approaches our mathematics lessons with enthusiasm and searches for ways to challenge himself. In addition to collaborating well with his peers during maths workshops, he sets a great example by readily sharing his thinking, and contributing to our class discussions.
When discussing different ways of counting collections efficiently, Oscar was able to demonstrate his strategies and explain why they were efficient.
Keep challenging yourself Oscar, well done!
Harrison R - 3B
Harrison is a mathematician who consistently can share his reasoning for choosing strategies to work out number problems. He always strives to learn more in our Maths lessons and is a whizz with quick number facts. Harrison demonstrates personal excellence in all Maths lessons and is able to present his thinking in many ways.
Delilah D - 3/4A
Despite not being her favourite subject, Delilah has made an enormous effort to improve in all areas of mathematics. She always tries her best, even when things are hard, which is a tremendous reflection of her character. Well done Delilah, you should be very proud of yourself.
Kai L - 5/6A
This semester, Kai has demonstrated tremendous growth and approached problems with the mindset of a mathematician.
Working with angles, Kai used reasoning through an understanding of complementary and supplementary angles and angle pairs on parallel lines to find missing angle sizes without measuring.
It has been wonderful to see you demonstrate confidence and curiosity towards maths. Excellent effort, Kai!
Sebastian B - 6A
Seb enters the classroom with a cheer and fist pump when maths is on the schedule. He is a passionate learner whose competitiveness and drive to succeed fuels him to constantly extend and challenge himself. This year Seb has developed his skills in articulating his thinking to share and consolidate his understanding. Well done Seb!
Responsibility
Bowie P - 1B
Since the beginning of the year, Bowie has consistently given his best effort in all learning areas. He has a terrific attitude towards school, is always one of the first into the classroom and is always willing to lend a helping hand. This term, despite the extra challenge with his helping hand, he has shown bravery and resilience, and his dedication to his learning has inspired those around him.
Well done on working so hard Bowie, you will be unstoppable when your cast comes off!
Laila F - 3A
Laila, a shining star in 3A, impresses us all with her dedication and hard work. She constantly puts in the effort, eagerly asks questions, and loves sharing her brilliant ideas with the class. Laila is always willing to step up and take on roles of responsibility in class. Her self-motivation and responsibility for her own learning are truly inspiring. Keep up the amazing work, Laila!
Nathaniel G - 4A
This student has continually shown a desire this year to help others in the classroom, especially with technology issues and motivating others to complete their homework.
