Industry Tours

The Year 10 Pathway students recently visited GMG Financial Group for a tour around the offices to hear from various employees and, their pathway journey. They were lucky enough to hear from a former St Mary MacKillop College student, Ash Edwards who spoke about the subjects he had chosen in Years 11 and 12 and how it is important to pick the subjects you enjoy.

Students were also involved in Health Industry Incursions where former St Mary MacKillop College students who are now working in the Health Industry shared their experiences. They spoke about the subject selections for Years 11 and 12 and the Year 10 Work Experience Program. They also talked about the importance of going to open days in Years 10 and 11 and asking different health professionals about where they did their placements and their experiences in the industry. 

10C’s guest speaker was Milly Opt’Hoog, Exercise Physiologist at Swan Hill District Health and business owner of Mil Movement.

10A’s guest speaker was Jess Jobling from Central Mallee Health.

10B had a guest speaker, Mietta Kelly from Seed Ability who did her Year 10 Work Experience at Seed Ability.
