Reflection - June 16. Eleventh Sunday in Ordinary time Year B
The mustard seed, the smallest of all the seeds, grows into the biggest shrub of all. This is how the Gospel of Mark is introduced this week. The tiny seed, the word of God, spreads into a tree so large that shelter and shade is provided to all. As we watch our students grow from little Foundation students to young adults in Year 12 approaching graduation, we are conscious of how far and wide the lessons and experiences from St Anne’s College will go in our world. We pray the word of God, experienced and nurtured here at St Anne’s and at home, has permeated the life of our children and in turn will be with that child as they spread their branches in years to come.
