Around the College

A huge thanks to the Greater Shepparton Lighthouse Project and Pit Stop Program!

We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to the Greater Shepparton Lighthouse Project and the Pit Stop program at DECA for their generous donation of a refurbished bike, bike helmet, and bike lock to one of our students.

The Pit Stop program collects unused bikes and scooters, giving them a second life by refurbishing and repairing them, making them ready for new adventures.

These repaired bikes and scooters are delivered to schools and individuals in our region, providing young people with opportunities to get outdoors, be active, and gain independence. Your kindness and dedication to the community are greatly appreciated!

The GAT - General Information for the St Anne’s College Community

On Tuesday 18 June, we have scheduled a student free day. However, all of our Year 12 and Year 11 students enrolled in Unit 3 and 4 VCE Studies will attend school to sit the GAT. The GAT is a test of general knowledge and skills and is taken by students as part of their completion of senior secondary studies. Students' previous study of English, Mathematics, Humanities and Science prepares students for the GAT by building their general knowledge and skills in writing, numeracy and reasoning.

During the GAT, it is very important that students have access to a quiet and predictable environment. We thank the St Anne’s Community for understanding the importance of this test and supporting our VCE students to sit the GAT on a student free day. Placing the GAT on this day not only supports the VCE program but all of our learning programs, as these events are different from our normal daily routines. By placing the GAT on a student free day, we minimise disruption not only to our VCE studies but respect the needs of the other, also valuable, learning programs within the school. One final reminder for our Unit 3 and 4 VCE students - we will see you at school on Tuesday 18 June!
