This week the Junior Stars have been introduced to a friendly detective who has helped them identify bullying behaviour using the acronym of BOO – 

Being mean

On purpose

Over and over 

The students enjoyed working in small groups to role play scenes involving bullying. The Junior Stars have practiced some simple steps to take when bullying occurs and used these steps in the role play with great enthusiasm! 

Over the last two weeks, the Senior Stars have been building on their knowledge of the brain. They were presented with the challenge of labelling the major parts of the brain and with support they have gained an understanding of the brain and its various functions. 

It has been excellent to see the students correctly link emotions and the ability to control these emotions (Emotional Regulation) with the brain.
