Literature Circle Book Club

The rich reading culture in Nossal can be seen within every nook and cranny of the IRC and the bustling conversation of literature that takes place in day-to-day interactions. Reading is its own magic, a way to expand your knowledge, a way to push the limits of your imagination, but most importantly, it is a way to connect with the countless others who have burning passions for literature like you may have. From the unpredicted character arch, surprising plot twist and unmatched love for the text, there is always something to talk about.

The Literature Circle Book Club, held every 3 weeks on a Thursday lunch is the go-to place to learn about the reading experiences of others, learn about a new genre or author or get new reading recommendations. Whether you are a voracious reader, or someone trying to start their reading journey, the Literature Circle Book Club is the hub for conversations around literacy. You allow yourself to discover beyond the books and genres you read now, from bloody wars to beautiful relationships, every story is welcome.

While participants are discussing their books, you can also enjoy refreshments and delicious snacks that Mrs. Lal generously provides every meeting. By simply participating in this group, you allow yourself to expand your reading choices with detailed reviews and synopses and strengthen your literacy skills with more exposure to unique books that you may have never even thought you would enjoy.

Many others will join this journey, listening to what other staff and students have been reading. Even if you have never been a part of a reading club, you can take this opportunity to start here and share your reading experience with the rest of the ecstatic members. It’s never too late to join the reading club.  Please fill free to ask the library leaders or Mrs. Lal for more information.
