Year 12 Japanese Students' RMIT Japanese Class Visit
We're excited to tell you all about the awesome adventure our Year 12 Japanese students had recently! On May 7, they took a trip to RMIT University to join Dr. Yoshida's Japanese class at level 4.
It can be nerve-wracking to meet new people and try new things, but all of the senpai (senior students) at RMIT were very friendly and welcoming. Once in Dr. Yoshida's class, everything was in Japanese! That might sound scary, but Year 12 students did great! They were able to understand and join in on the fun activities. It was like a confidence boost for them, showing that they could do anything they set their minds to.
This trip wasn't just about learning Japanese; it was also about discovering new possibilities for the future. Dr. Yoshida organized a special guest to speak about his study abroad experience and career path. Our students got a glimpse of what life could be like after school, where their language skills could take them on exciting adventures.
We want to give a big thank you to Dr. Yoshida and the awesome students at RMIT for making this trip unforgettable.

Quatrefoils Restaurant CRC Sydenham
With the support of CRC Hospitality teacher Richard McGuire, Year 12 Copperfield College students are required to organise and run operations at Quatrefoils Restaurant CRC Sydenham as part of their Hospitality and kitchen operations VET Certificate.
A large component of the training program is developing the students’ confidence and communication skills and this gives them the opportunity to practice everyhing they have learned in the last year and a half.
On Thursday night some of our wonderful Aides joined our Copperfield College Hospitality students as they prepared and served an amazing 3 course meal. The students were our waiters, Chefs and beverage servers for the night. They should all be proud of the hard work and passion they showed on the night.
We thoroughly enjoyed our experience and will be back again.
