Dear Parents and Carers,
Spirit On Country State Education Conference
Our Primary Aboriginal students were amazing in the Diocesan Dance for the conference. Thanks to Miss Allan for her help with supervising the students and making costumes.
Each school displayed a painting depicting the town history and unique features of their local environment. Our painting titled ‘Nest in the Hills’ was truly beautiful, highlighting ‘our local story’. The stars in the night sky represent our ancestors watching over us. The centre circle symbolises our church, school and community coming together as one. The yellow flowers represent the vibrant canola fields surrounding our town while the sand goanna connects us deeply to the land and its stories. The mountains and trees offer protection. The Mooki river has provided food, medicine, tools and recreation for thousands of years.
BOOK FAIR
I am looking forward to seeing many families join us after school this Wednesday 30th October for our annual Book Fair, from 5.00pm. The theme for this year is READING IS MAGIC. Students may come dressed according to this theme or choose an outfit from their favourite book.
Don’t forget your crazy socks this Friday!
An amazing effort last week with $108.60 raised.
Our challenge is to raise even more this week!
