Oaklands Community Garden is a public garden with land owned by Marion Council and the garden managed by a Committee of volunteers. It has been established as an aesthetic garden, comprising of flowering shrubs, fruit trees and vegetable beds.
You are welcome to use the garden anytime and pick the produce, while being mindful of leaving some for other users. There is a swap table and you are invited to leave surplus produce from your garden.
We get together 'formally' twice a month: on the last Sunday of each month at 10:30am - 12:30pm (weather permitting) and on the middle Saturday 10:30am - 12:30pm. On these occasions we have a working bee and shared morning tea.
Our next gathering will be on Sunday 24 November when we have a spring Celebration event 11:00 -2:00pm.
