From the Principal

Congratulations to our Graduating HSC Class of 2024

Over the past four weeks, our HSC Class of 2024 has been immersed in their final examinations, with the last exam being completed this morning.

On behalf of our staff team, I take this opportunity to warmly congratulate and duly acknowledge each student who has recently completed their HSC examinations and their HSC studies throughout the course of 2024.

We are immensely proud of you all!

Completing the HSC is a significant achievement and is a major milestone in the life of our secondary students and families.

To many, the key metric of success in the HSC year of schooling is the final Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) that students receive in December.

The ATAR is a number between 0.00 and 99.95 that indicates a student’s position relative to all students in their age group across New South Wales. Universities utilise the ATAR to help them select students for admission to their courses.

At Moama Anglican Grammar, we are unwaveringly committed to supporting our students to thrive academically, spiritually, socially and emotionally.

As each HSC student now eagerly awaits their ATAR results, I encourage them to remember that the ATAR is but one measure of student success.

Whilst we will always strive for our students to achieve personal bests and high ATAR results, it is equally important to me that our graduating students conclude their secondary school years as people of high character who have the knowledge, skills and attributes to navigate the complexity of the rapidly changing world beyond school. It is also essential that our graduates are responsible citizens who live and model our core values of compassion, respect and integrity in their lives.

The HSC Class of 2024 deservedly celebrates the completion of their HSC studies this week and we wish you well for the next steps in your personal journeys.
