ACTIVITIES YOU CAN DO AT HOME TO SUPPORT YOUR CHILD'S LEARNING

Interview Family Members

 

Materials: Notebook and pen or recording device (iPad or phone).

 

Activity: Encourage your child to interview family members about their birthplaces. They can ask questions like, “What country were you born in?”, “What was it like growing up there?” or “What traditions did you celebrate?” They can write down or record the responses to share later.

 

Learning Goal: Develop interviewing skills and learn firsthand about family history.
