This week in Reading, we are learning  about narratives.

Students  can identify a narrative text.and it’s structure.They can  explain the purpose of a narrative text.

VOCABULARY

Setting/Where?

Purpose -

to tell a story.

Narrative - 

a piece of writing that tells a story.

ACTIVITIES YOU CAN DO AT HOME TO SUPPORT YOUR CHILD'S LEARNING

Ask your child to select a fiction  text  from either their blue satchel or a book from home or the public library. 

After reading the story, children can identify the characters  in  the story and events and the setting of the story.  Encourage them to retell the story in their own words, including all the details.
