Class Masses

On Wednesday 9th October Mass was celebrated with 9A, 9B and 7A. The Mass was attended by Mr Spencer, Mrs Kavanagh, Mr Gordon and Mr Blencowe and presided by Fr Darren.

I share with you a message of appreciation sent to all homeroom teachers of 9A, 9B and 7A from our school Pastoral Leader Mr Chris Spencer:

…I just attended the Class Mass with 7A, 9A, and 9B, and I would like to commend the students for their exemplary behaviour throughout. They were attentive and respectful during the entire Mass.  It was, without a doubt, one of the best Class Masses I have been a part of at Mary Mac.

Mr Gordon thanked all the students at the end of Mass and expressed how proud he was of them. If this could also be acknowledged by their Well Being Leaders and Homeroom Teachers, it would be greatly appreciated.

Well done 7A, 9A and 9B!

The next mass will be celebrated next week on Wednesday 23rdf Oct with all Year 11 RE classes and their teacher Mr Freeman, Mrs Kavanagh, Ms Raschle and Mr McManamon.

2025 Aspirant Captain’s Speeches

On Wednesday 16th October we heard from our 12 aspirant captains as they addressed our college community for the 2025 captain’s speeches.

Students then voted via an online voting system.

In 2025 we will select our captains on a preferential voting system, regardless of gender.

On Thursday 24th October all Captains will meet for an interview with our Principal John Freeman.

Our Captains will then be announced to our College Community on Friday 25th October.

Pope Francis’ Prayer Intention for the month of October

For a shared mission

We pray that the Church continue to sustain in all ways a Synodal lifestyle, as a sign of co-responsibility, promoting the participation, the communion and the mission shared among priests, religious and lay people.
