Learn to Row Program at Nagambie

Seymour Secondary College has joined forces with the Lake Eildon Rowing club to start a Rowing program for a selected group of students in year 9 and 10.

On Friday 1st of November we spent the day at the Nagambie Regatta Centre and 12 students were able to get out on a racing coxed eight for the first time in the history of the school.

The students enjoyed the session and made the most of their time on the water, learning the fine art of Rowing, a sport that demands teamwork and skill in the same measure.

The students from Seymour did a fantastic job to come together and make it happen and teachers Mario Laing and Daniel Thompson were very proud of their efforts. Special mention to Darcy Arandt who was extremely helpful from start to end.

The program will continue for the next two consecutive Fridays.

Thank you to our five primary students for representing Seymour college at Hume region athletics in Albury on Friday. The weather played tricks on the students most of the day with wild rain and wind, but it was a successful day with four students heading to state. Well done to all students on a fabulous day.
