Prep: Students finished their snail habitats using folded, scrunched, and pasted paper techniques. They added their clay snails, taking inspiration from The Snail and the Turtle to imagine what a snail might find in its habitat.
Year 1/2: Our young designers completed their clay necklaces, painting and beading with colours and patterns that reflect their unique personalities.
Year 3/4: Students crafted clay portraits, carefully including defining features to represent themselves. Once kiln-fired, they’ll paint them for the final touch.
Year 5/6: Students began sewing self-portraits, using a variety of textiles and threads. They started by creating and sewing a background and face together, laying the foundation for their textile portraits.
