Music Camp Wrap-Up Video

Instrumental music is off to a wonderful start this year. All music ensembles commenced rehearsals last week and we welcome all our new members! Senior ensembles are making excellent progress towards performing at the Premier Ensembles Concert in Week 7.

Music camp provided a wonderful opportunity to make a solid start on repertoire for the year. Here is a video of some highlights from our camp at Alexandra Headlands in January. It features music from our College Symphony Orchestra on Day 2 of the camp. This was recorded after only two short rehearsals but is a great indication of the quality of music we can expect from all ensembles in the year ahead.

Art Club and Games Workshop Begin This Week!

Art Club

Art club runs weekly every Tuesday afternoon, with each term focusing on a different project. Students from any year level (Years 5-12) are invited to come along and learn new skills and be creative in a relaxed atmosphere. Students can take their work home at the end of each term. This term students will be creating a ceramic fantasy hybrid creature, which will be fired and glazed or painted. Art Club is also an opportunity for students who are studying Visual Art to access the art rooms and art materials and equipment to catch up on work outside of class time or for students not studying Art as part of the curriculum who wish to come along and work on their own projects.

Games Workshop

Games Workshop runs alongside Art Club and students from any year level (Years 5-12) are invited to come along and join like-minded individuals with an interest in D&D, Warhammer, board games or cards. Bring along your characters, projects, games from home and share in an hour of discussion, creating or “role-playing”. Basic art materials available or students may bring their own games, equipment and materials.
