Diabetes Training

Just a friendly reminder that all staff need to renew their level 1 & 2 Diabetes training (apart from Sam, Rose, Jen white, Claire Moffitt, Jonte, Marilyne, Joanna)

For the select staff completing their face-to-face level 3 Diabetes (training for Dominic's Omnipod) on Wednesday 25th at 9am please ensure that you have completed your Level 1 & 2 training prior to this session.

Update - Extreme Weather Timetable

Hi Team,

Following feedback some changes have been made to the extreme weather timetable. Please go over the timetable below. This version is also now in the whole school Yard Duty doc. Thanks!

Just a gentle reminder to arrive on time for your duty so that every colleague can have their full break.

Michael Minas afternoon of Maths Games - organisation for this Thursday 26 Feb

We are excited to be holding our afternoon of Maths Games this Thursday with a large number of parents/ special visitors expected to be joining us!  Please see the following to ensure you and your students are organised for the afternoon:

• Before Thursday afternoon: Please have a student/ students who will be ready at the classroom door to welcome the parents and / or direct them if they aren't sure where to go (this would be a good job for your Student Voice Reps)

   

  ON THE DAY

• Before afternoon recess: Please ensure your classroom is set up for the games afternoon, students bags packed, snacks eaten etc before students head out to play at 2pm.  Please also remind students that there will be parents/ carers in the hall during recess - students should leave parents alone while Michael is presenting.
• During afternoon recess: Parents/ carers will be arriving from around 1:50pm for a 2pm start in the hall with Michael - if you are on SC yard duty at recess and see parents wandering around please direct them to the hall. Note - the Kelly Club gate will be open for parents to come in.
• 2:30pm: Collect your class promptly from line up, ensure they have been to the toilet and everything is ready in your classrooms
• Parents will begin exiting the hall from around 2:35-2:40pm.  
•  During the games session: All teachers please engage in playing games with students/ families who attend.  If you have students without an adult present please encourage them to join a group with yourself and other students to ensure they are included
• Michael will be roving around the classrooms throughout the session
• 3:25pm: there will be an announcement over the PA system to conclude the event and thank the parents for coming.  Your SVRs could also speak and thank the parents on behalf of the class.
• When the bell goes at 3:30pm students may leave with their parents/ carers as normal.  If parents want to take children home early they must sign out at the office.

If you have any queries about the Maths games that will be played or need any equipment please manage this among your team to ensure consistency across all classrooms. Looking forward to a fun afternoon!
