Le Kangourou des Maths Competition
The communication for the Kangourou des maths competition has been provided via a Compass Event to Year 5 & 6 families. The competition is an opt-in event.
If you have families in Year 3 & 4 who would like their child to participate, could you please send an email through with their names and class and an invitation will be sent to them.
The competition this year will be held during La semaine de la francophonie on Friday 20th of March in session 3. As per previous years, French teachers will run the competition in their classroom. Please check with your team how you would like to run the event as English teachers can play some maths games in their classrooms with the students who do not participate.
Please see me if you have any questions.
Happy kangourou!

SEnglish DIBELS
This week and next week you can start your DIBELS screener with your class. Thank you to those who have already started - it is great to see the 2026 DIBELS spreadsheet beginning to light up with colours.
If you need a refresher on how to administer or score any of the subsets, please refer to the DIBELS PL Slideshow. On the slides you will also find links to videos where you can watch it in action and practise scoring. You can also find those videos here on the DIBELS Training Videos.
If you need any help, even a quick question, please reach out so we can get the most accurate results.
In the next few weeks we will learn more about how to use the data so it will be handy to have it ready.

6 March Curriculum Day - Elastik Professional Learning
We have organised for Ayesha from Elastik to provide us with a professional learning session as part of our curriculum day on 6 March. To ensure this session meets our needs, I would love to hear the feedback, questions or wonders that you are having about using Elastik, which I can pass on to Ayesha.
Please add your thoughts to the Google Doc by this Friday 27 February so that I can pass them on to Ayesha in preparation for 6 March. Thanks!
Kim
