Krystina’s Katch-Up

From the Acting-Principal

Hi All,

This week, I have jumped into the Acting Principal role while Nigel takes a well-earned period of Long Service Leave. I look forward to supporting our students, staff and families over this time and continuing the great work happening across the school.

NAPLAN testing began today, with most assessments able to proceed as planned. Unfortunately, a statewide technical issue impacted the online platform, meaning our Year 5 students were unable to complete their scheduled test today. As a result, this assessment will now take place tomorrow. We appreciate the patience and flexibility shown by our students and staff as we adjusted to the last-minute changes.

Our Prep students also had an exciting day today as they headed off to Butleigh Farm for their excursion. Experiences like this provide wonderful opportunities for our youngest learners to connect their classroom learning with real-life experiences. We are sure they will return with plenty of stories to share about the animals and farm activities.

Last week’s House Cross Country was a fantastic event and a great celebration of our school spirit. It was wonderful to see so many students encouraging one another, challenging themselves and proudly representing their house teams. Events like this highlight the strength of our school community and the positive culture we are building together. In particular, it was fantastic to see our new school value of Belonging on display, with students supporting one another and families joining us to cheer from the sidelines.

Thank you to our staff for their organisation of these events and to our families for your ongoing support of the school.
