Foundation News
Well all good things must come to an end. After ten weeks of learning, laughing and story telling, it's time for a break. Time for a rest. Time to re-charge the batteries and get ready for Term 2. Thanks to all you wonderful parents for making it such a great term for these little champions. It's been a great term!
Literacy
A beautiful story, told by Pamela Allen, was read to the Foundation students this term as part of our Initial Lit program. It follows the story of a grandfather and grandson as they spend quality time together at the beach. After reading the book, the students worked in groups to spend some time together, working as a team, to create their own sandcastles.
Religion
Thanks to all families for making our Project Compassion a priority this term. Caritas Australia do great work around the world and the Project provides our students with great stories and messages that underlie the season of Lent. As a class we were able to raise $52.50 which will help reduce poverty around the world. Well done everyone!
Year One
This week we have been learning about the important events of Holy Week. We have learnt about Palm Sunday, and the Last Supper which took place on Holy Thursday. We have created some beautiful displays which are displayed down stairs in the office.
Thankyou to all the students and families for an amazing Term 1. Enjoy the holidays and Happy Easter!
Year 2/3
Hello Families,
This week we have been enjoying some games that invite and involve teamwork and FUN! The class had a BLAST and asked to play this again. As the term comes to an end, I would like to thank all the families for the support they have shown. Have a wonderful Easter Break.
Year 3/4
Pajama Day
What a great day, seeing all the students in their pajamas for a good cause, The Royal Children's Hospital Good Friday Appeal.
Year 4/5
As we reach the end of this first term of 2025, we see how we have grown through learning and through relationships. From learning Literacy and Numeracy through the program OCHRE, to looking at prayer in the life of the Jewish people in R.E. lessons, we have attained new knowledge and understanding. We have enjoyed a visit to Don Bosco and experienced a better appreciation of teamwork when working on classroom and outdoor activities. We can't wait to see what exciting things the next term has in store for us!!
Year 5/6
