Student Activities

Encompass Care
On Wednesday the 26th of March, a group of students and their education staff volunteered to help with community services at Encompass Care as part of developing their work-related skills.
Our students assisted with tasks such as packing up food stuff for donation, putting away the rubbish and cleaning up. Encompass staff allocated them specific duties like Henry lent a hand in packing the sugar bags, Ali helped with distributing cereals and canned foods in the donation bags, Ella and Education staff broke down the empty boxes and placed them in the recycle skip. Susan took part in folding the napkins and organizing them in crates.
At the end of the activity the encompass staff were very grateful for the help and were kind enough to offer us bread and drinks which students were happy to take home. A successful and fulfilling day it was!

Art Elective
Every Monday afternoon, students who have elected to participate in the Art Elective adventure into the Purple Classroom, where their creativity comes alive! Every student has their own unique style that is transformed into whatever they have chosen to make.
We have many different types of artistry. Krys, Henry, and David spend time drawing and perfecting their characters. Mikayla, Ella, Rubie, and Ali make sculptures out of air-dry clay and polymer clay. Emma and Education Support staff member, Sarah, have been making jewelry out of beads, gifting specific pieces to Kim, the assistant principal. Noah taught Susan to make loom bracelets from scratch. Every student tries different things and creates amazing pieces of art every time!
Art Elective is a fun space that encourages students to explore different modes within the creative world. This helps students express themselves, which in turn supports not only their own creativity but also helps their peers as well.
