What a FANTASTICO time we had last week during all the specialist classes.  Students completed some Italian music, art and sport.

We had fun at our 'Carnevale' in the Marian Centre and enjoyed some delicious pizza for lunch.  Thank you to Adrian from Mooroopna Pizzeria for the yummy pizzas, to all the specialist teachers and support staff for some engaging activities, laughs and fun, and the students and families for creating some incredible costumes. Bravo St Mary's!

This Term in Grade 2 Italian we have been learning basic Italian greetings and the connections/differences between Italian and Australian culture. Sherrie has been impressed with the students' quality of work and participation in Italian lessons.

New - Performing Arts

In Performing Arts this term, the Grade One and Two students have learnt all about the different sections of the orchestra: the woodwind section, string section, brass section and the percussion section!

The opportunity detailed below will be at Eastbank in Welsford Street, Shepparton, during the holidays and would be a perfect experience for them!

Riverlinks and Orchestra Victoria present:

Meet the Orchestra!

Friday 11th of April, 2025,

11:30am – 12.30pm.

Experience the magic of live music with this concert made just for families!

Get ready for a morning of musical fun these school holidays when Orchestra Victoria comes to Riverlinks Eastbank.

Across an energetic 60 minutes, discover the magical world of the orchestra, meet the musicians and learn all about the instruments being played. With the vibrant Janet McLeod as your guide, audience members big and small should be ready to get up from their seats and move to the music, and there’ll be plenty of audience participation to keep even the youngest audience members enthralled until the orchestra take their final bow.

Designed especially for younger children, this is the perfect first concert experience for the whole family.

They’ll be singing and dancing all the way home!

New - Harmony Day in 3-4JM

We had a fantastic day learning about Harmony Week and what it means.

We celebrated our many different cultures in lots of different ways. We wrote about what harmony means, made a 'Harmony Globe', competed in a Harmony Day Kahoot, had a guest speaker (Jennie Chen) from Taiwan, shared traditional costumes and customs and tasted all sorts of yummy foods from around the world. Not many were fans of the Dutch licorice but we definitely enjoyed our Italian pizza, Filipino Puto and Portuguese tarts.

Thank you to all parent and carers who helped out.
