Ministry

Last week, Students at Endeavour delivered their first ‘solo’ chapel for the year, choosing their own topic, activity, and message to share with their peers.
Selecting staff members from each Village, Blake and Charlotte played Endeavour’s own version of ‘Simon Says’, dubbing it ran a game of ‘Mr Baird Says,’ pitting the staff against each other. Students were engaged and supporting of their Village teachers.
Then, by addressing pop culture and social media, Olivia, Aiden, and Charlotte delivered an impactful message about the power of influence. Being senior students themselves, they set an example for the school in how they presented and engaged with the students and staff.
Charlotte reminded us that:
“No one is a perfect example to follow. People will make mistakes, chase the wrong things, and let us down. But there’s one influencer who will never fail us- Jesus.
Jesus didn’t just have followers. He led them with truth, love, and purpose.
He didn’t chase views or popularity, but He changed lives forever. And while trends come and go, His message stays the same: to love God, love others, and live in a way that reflects Him.
There are so many voices trying to influence us, friends, social media, culture, but not everything we hear is worth following.
So how do we know what to follow?
We check if it aligns with what God says. If it reflects His love, truth, and wisdom, then it’s worth listening to.
But if it contradicts His character, then just like in 'Mr Baird Says' it’s not the right path for us to take.
Jesus himself is the ultimate influencer, not because He was powerful or admired, but because He led with compassion, served selflessly, and stood firm in truth.
If we want to be great examples, we must look to Him first. When we mirror His love, we shine a light that others can’t help but notice.”
It is so impactful that students can talk to other students about the impact and influence that they carry into school every day.
Jesus’ example sets the culture for the student leaders, and they encourage their peers to look to good quality people as they grow up.
