From the Principal

Today, we come together to celebrate Harmony Day, a day that highlights the strength of our diversity and the importance of inclusion.

Like many of you, I am an immigrant to Australia. As a child, I left the challenges of Belfast, Northern Ireland, and found a new home here. This day serves as a powerful reminder of the richness that different backgrounds bring to our community.

At Endeavour College, we are committed to providing a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment where every student can thrive.

Our approach to education goes beyond academics, we guide young people to discover their God-given gifts and equip them with the skills to become capable and well-rounded contributors to society. Through encouragement and support, our dedicated staff use contemporary teaching methods to help students pursue their passions and achieve excellence.

A strong sense of belonging is evident at Endeavour College. Our students and staff feel valued, supported, and empowered to reach their full potential. This culture of positivity and aspiration is reflected in the way our community embraces its values and encourages growth.

We actively promote inclusion and student voice through initiatives such as Culture and Wellbeing, the Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP), the proposed Multicultural Inclusion Plan (MIP), student leadership, and pastoral care. While we are proud to be at the forefront of fostering inclusivity, we recognise the need for ongoing reflection and improvement.

Research shows that seeking broader feedback on key issues can further enhance our efforts, including:

· Artificial Intelligence (AI)

· Student safety and wellbeing

· Disability accessibility

· Individual learning plans

· Racism

· Gender and sexual diversity

By analysing the feedback we receive, we will implement strategies to continue strengthening our inclusive practices.

At Endeavour College, our commitment is clear: zero tolerance for racism. We believe in treating others with kindness and respect, because these values should know no boundaries.

A reminder on the importance of School Attendance

Regular school attendance is essential for your child’s academic success. While we understand that work commitments and family holidays may occasionally overlap with the school term, we encourage families to carefully consider the impact of extended absences. Time away from the classroom can be disruptive for teachers and, more importantly, may significantly affect your child’s learning progress.

In addition to attendance, arriving on time each day is equally important. Frequent tardiness can result in missed learning opportunities and disrupt the flow of the school day. Ensuring your child is present and punctual helps them establish positive habits and fully engage in their education.

The College has a minimum attendance policy in place, which will be shared and enforced when extended leave is requested. We appreciate your support in prioritising your child’s education and ensuring they make the most of their learning opportunities.

Thank you for your cooperation.
