Mungo Gol Gol - School Leaders Camp

This week, our student leaders had an incredible opportunity to develop their leadership skills while exploring the rich cultural and historical significance of Mungo National Park. They connected with students from Carlingford West, Dareton and Gol Gol PS, and gained valuable insights that they will bring back to our school. A big thank you to Mrs Baroi, Mr Brood, and Mrs Pflederer for their support and for attending the camp to guide and mentor our students throughout this unique experience. I loved watching the students’ leadership and teamwork develop over the week. It was a great pleasure to join and learn with them.

Harmony Day

Today we celebrated Harmony Day, a special occasion that recognises and celebrates the cultural diversity of our school and wider community. Harmony Day is about inclusiveness, respect, and a sense of belonging for everyone, regardless of cultural or linguistic background. With students from a wide range of cultures, our school is a vibrant and welcoming place, and today was an opportunity to reflect on the importance of unity, acceptance, and mutual respect. Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make the day a meaningful celebration of the strength we gain through diversity.

Unfortunately I was not able to attend as I was returning with our student leaders but I have been reliably informed that it was a wonderful celebration.

NAPLAN

Our students in Years 3 and 5 are nearly finished with NAPLAN, and we are proud of the calm and positive way they have approached the assessments. A big thank you to Mrs Holstein for her excellent organisation of the testing process, and to our Year 3 and 5 teachers for the care and support they have provided in preparing students and helping them feel confident. Their efforts have ensured that students were well supported throughout, and we appreciate the dedication of all involved.
