SV Holt Swimming Carnival Oakleigh Pool  2025

Hi Everyone,

On Friday 21st February St Agnes’ competed in the SSV Swimming Carnival against seven other schools in the Holt District at Oakleigh Pool. The swim team was composed of 17 St Agnes’ students from Years 3 and 4. St Agnes’ competed in freestyle, breaststroke, backstroke, butterfly and medley and freestyle relays.

On a very sunny day the St Agnes’ swim team worked together, cheered on each other and all did their very best. The results were outstanding this year. St Agnes’ finished 6th overall and 6th in the percentage trophy, which is based on the number of swimming results and size of the swim team and size of the school. Congratulations to St Joseph’s for winning the overall trophy this year. Hopefully we will be able to beat them next year.

A special mention to Charlie Murphy for breaking a Holt Record. Well done Charlie, a super effort.

I would like to say a big thank you to the teachers and parents who helped out and came to support the students on the day, also for all those early morning trial sessions that were attended by parents and teachers.  But most of all I thank the swim team for doing an amazing job in the pool representing St Agnes’. Your parents, teachers and myself are all very proud of you.
