Junior School Leaders Induction

At our recent Assembly, our 2025 Student Leaders were inducted in front of the Junior School and their parents.

Some 2024 leaders attended the induction and gifted our new leaders with meaningful symbols to guide their journey: an olive tree, a cross, a torch, and a heart.

Flourish

The olive tree symbolises growth, and our prayer for the leaders is that they flourish in their role, trusting in God’s love and helping others grow in their gifts (Psalm 52:8).

Belong

The cross reminded them that they are children of God, called to serve others with His love and light (1 John 4:4).

Believe

The torch encouraged them to trust in God’s guidance through prayer and scripture, allowing Him to direct their path (Proverbs 3:5-6).

Respond

The heart symbolises a response filled with kindness, respect, and love. They were challenged to let their actions shine as a reflection of God’s goodness (Matthew 5:16).

We are proud of our appointed leaders and look forward to them stepping into leadership.

2025 Junior School Captains are Kai M and Evana F.

Our 2025 student leaders are Thiela W, Adele L, Ruben G, Mianka T, Joshua H, Abigail M, LaMell B, Elliora W, Isabella Z, and Sam L.

Collaborative Learning in Year 1 and 2

Our Year 1 and 2 students have enjoyed collaborative learning activities to build the important skills of teamwork and communication.

We have discussed and modelled ways to work as a team, including supporting one another, being good listeners, and taking turns. Students have understood the importance of being respectful and responsible, enabling their peers to feel valued.

During our Literacy classes (InitiaLit) and many other areas of the curriculum, we have worked in groups to practice newly learnt skills. Students use whiteboards and play learning games. During these group times, we again model and practice our collaborative skills.

Well done Year 1 and 2 students for a fantastic start in team building!

Water Safety Week

Week 2 saw a fantastic Water Safety Week for Year 3-6 students from both campuses. With plenty of warm sunshine throughout the week, the pool was the perfect place to learn and cool off! Students practiced essential survival and rescue skills, growing in confidence with every session.

It was wonderful to see their progress and enthusiasm in the water. A huge thank you to our dedicated staff and the incredible team of parent volunteers who generously gave their time to support the program. A reminder that the F-2 Water Safety Week will take place in Term 3, Week 9 - we can’t wait for more water adventures then!
