Year 1/2 Space

Our year has begun wonderfully in the Year 1/2 space. Watching the new Year 1s take their first steps (pardon the pun!) up the stairs with confidence and excitement has been a joy. Likewise, the new Year 2s are stepping up as role models, demonstrating maturity and leadership within the cohort.

We are already diving deep into our learning. Our maths program has provided plenty of hands-on experiences with manipulatives to enhance understanding. The students have been especially enthusiastic about addition and subtraction fluency practice.

Welcome Picnic

It was such a blessing to join together as a Brooklyn Park community last night for our Welcome Picnic! We enjoyed one another’s company over shared meals and watched the kids run around with unbridled joy.

Just a few of the night’s highlights:

• Jumping castle

• Slushies

• Bubble station

• Face painting

• Doughnut van

• Coffee van

• Basketball station

Thank you to every person who joined us; we hope you were blessed and feel connected!

Water Safety Week

Week 2 saw a fantastic Water Safety Week for year 3-6 students from both campuses. With plenty of warm sunshine throughout the week, the pool was the perfect place to learn and cool off! Students practiced essential survival and rescue skills, growing in confidence with every session.

It was wonderful to see their progress and enthusiasm in the water. A huge thank you to our dedicated staff and the incredible team of parent volunteers who generously gave their time to support the program. A reminder that the F-2 Water Safety Week will take place in Term 3, Week 9—we can’t wait for more water adventures then!
