South Plympton Campus Kiss n Go Zones and road etiquette information update
In late 2024, the Council created a second ‘Kiss n Go’ zone and extended the Lynton Ave zone. These are 2-minute zones designed for quick pick-up and drop-off, with the expectation that vehicles move off once your child has been picked up or dropped off. Please do not park and wait in these zones. If your child is not ready, kindly drive around the block.
Kiss n Go Zone times:
- 8.00am - 9.00am
- 3.00pm- 4.00pm
Kiss n Go Zone locations:
- Lynton Ave Zone: From the corner of Lynton Ave and Wheaton Street, extending to the Bus Zone (past the EPAC gates).
- Wheaton St Zone: From the College driveway, extending to the corner of Wheaton St and Lynton Ave. This zone is for all families to use.
Kiss n Go guidelines:
- Move up as far as you can when pulling into these zones.
- Stay in your vehicle at all times within the zone.
- Encourage your child to walk to the Wheaton St zone if possible.
- Staff are present to assist with student care and help keep the traffic moving during the 2-minute time period.
Important traffic etiquette:
- Do not park across driveways—even partially— and avoid leaving your vehicle idle while waiting for your child.
- Do not park within 10 metres of the pedestrian crossing on Lynton Ave (indicated by bold white/yellow lines).
- Refrain from parking on yellow lines or in restricted areas
- Be courteous and considerate to our neighbours.
- Observe all street signage, including the Disabled Parking area on Lynton Ave.
Safety Reminders:
- Always use designated crossing points and pedestrian crossings.
- Please do not cross at the T-intersection of Lynton Ave and Castle St to access the EPAC gates—there have been several near-misses. A teacher is stationed to guide pedestrians to the designated crossing.
Council infringements:
- Please note that the Council may issue infringement notices for any violations of parking or road rules, and the College is unable to waive these notices.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in ensuring a smooth, safe environment for all students, families, and neighbours. Please find the Keep Kids Safe document from the City of Marion below.
Thank you

Curriculum
Due to the exciting redevelopment of our facilities, including upgrades to our courts and soccer field, most Year 7–12 PE lessons will take place off-site throughout the year. While these changes are temporary, they will ultimately enhance the sports experience for all our students.
Please be mindful of the off-site scheduling when booking appointments, such as music lessons, dentist visits, or doctor consultations, to ensure students can fully participate in their lessons.

Looking ahead
We are eager to see how these developments enrich the sports program at Emmaus Christian College. Though the temporary building works will require some adjustments and changes to our structure, the long-term improvements to our facilities will benefit students for many years to come.
