Next week, after the long weekend, our Year 3 and Year 5 students will be sitting the NAPLAN assessments. These tests assess important literacy and numeracy skills and help us understand how students are progressing in these key areas.
The tests will be completed online, except for the Year 3 writing test, which will be done on paper. Our students have been preparing in class and are familiar with the test format, so there’s no need for extra study at home.
How can you support your child?
If your child is absent on a test day, we will organise a catch-up session where possible.
If you have any questions about NAPLAN, please contact the school or visit nap.edu.au for more information.
Thank you for your support!
The Department of Education has revised the policy relating to the provision of NDIS and external therapy in schools. From Monday, 17th February, all external therapy services, including NDIS-funded providers, must be formally approved before sessions can take place on school grounds.
Providers already working with Trafalgar Primary School Students have already been notified. Parents and providers must complete a ‘Request to Provide Therapy on School Grounds’ form. Some therapy sessions may be temporarily paused until approvals are processed. Teachers and staff will work closely with families to support students during this transition.
This change ensures that therapy services align with Child Safe Standards and do not disrupt student learning. If you have questions about this process, please contact the school office.
