Miss Deane - Junior Classroom Teacher

For Miss Deane's Group this week in InitiaLit we have been learning about different diagraphs and have also added some tricky words such as "you, put and they" to our vocabulary. In Mr. Stow's group, they have learnt two new sounds / letters, "t" and "a".

Four maths, we have just finished a unit on time, with a focus on duration this week. The P-2 students been exploring how long different daily tasked and activities take. Comparing to see which on is longer or shorter in duration.

We also had another visit from Emily at ResourceSmart this week for outdoor classroom. The students focused on composting and worked with Emily to get our school tumbler up and running.

Lastly, we finished this week at Cross country! The P-2 Students had a blast and really enjoyed the activities. Well Done to all the senior kids on their efforts in the big race :)
